A Leading Insurtech Provider is seeking an analytical Actuarial Analyst to join its fast-growing data analytics squad in Bengaluru. Operating under the direct guidance of senior actuaries, you will execute the critical data handling and structuring work that powers new product launches. Furthermore, you will build and maintain granular pricing models across assigned commercial lines. Consequently, this position is vital for evaluating risk parameters and preparing clean submission packs for international reinsurance panels.

The Actuarial Analyst must demonstrate high comfort managing large-scale exposure datasets, loss triangles, and experience studies. Additionally, you will monitor portfolio loss ratios against documented corporate guardrails to flag deviations early. Key Responsibilities

  • Build, update, and manage granular mathematical pricing models for specialty commercial lines under senior guidance.
  • Run regular portfolio pricing assessments, covering exposure profiling, loss ratio analysis, and experience studies.
  • Extract, manipulate, and prepare clean data cuts and technical exhibits to support fresh product proposals.
  • Contribute to product construct discussions, detailing benefit modules, deductibles, triggers, and limits.
  • Document product features, actuarial assumptions, and baseline rate tables clearly for internal or partner reference.
  • Apply structured corporate underwriting guidelines to individual and portfolio risk submissions.
  • Monitor portfolio loss ratios continuously against documented guardrails and flag statistical deviations early.
  • Maintain highly organized underwriting transaction logs, decision trails, and audit-ready data registries.
  • Prepare detailed submission packs, RFQ data exhibits, and summary folders for insurance capacity partners.
  • Provide data support to senior teams during capacity discussions, tracking operational follow-ups and action items.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Actuarial student making consistent exam progress with the IAI or IFoA, or a highly quantitative graduate.
  • 2 – 3 years of successful experience within pricing, actuarial, underwriting, or MGA settings.
  • Advanced mastery of MS Excel combined with a disciplined approach to managing exposure datasets and loss triangles.
  • Excellent communication skills with a proven capacity to translate complex numbers into operational business choices.
  • Process-driven mindset with technical familiarity handling digital automation tools and sensitive information safely.
