The Manager / Senior Manager – Statutory Valuation must oversee monthly and annual valuation processes while ensuring data completeness. Additionally, you will build parallel models and perform UAT testing to verify the accuracy of Prophet models. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the statutory reporting team in executing monthly and annual valuations and reporting cycles.
- Conduct in-depth experience analysis on mortality, lapses, and other critical risk factors.
- Perform periodical ALM position analysis and communicate results to internal management and regulators.
- Analyze valuation data rigorously to ensure absolute accuracy, integrity, and completeness.
- Develop parallel actuarial models and conduct UAT testing to validate Prophet model outputs.
- Provide constructive recommendations to stakeholders based on detailed actuarial experience studies.
- Support broader actuarial functions on a need basis, including pricing and shareholder reporting.
- Prepare specialized, need-based MIS reports to drive informed executive decision-making.
- Ensure all assigned work items and tasks are delivered accurately within strict regulatory timelines.
- Foster a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement within the actuarial department.
Requirements and Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience, preferably within a statutory reporting team in the life insurance sector.
- Significant progress in actuarial papers, including a strong technical knowledge of CT5.
- Proficiency in using Prophet (Actuarial software), MS Excel, and SQL for data analysis.
- Deep understanding of core actuarial principles and statutory reporting frameworks.
- Proven ability to manage complex data sets and deliver accurate results under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills to share technical results with stakeholders and management.
