Key Responsibilities for the Chief Manager – Financial Reporting
- Lead the preparation and submission of all reports to IRDAI and the Life Council.
- Manage high-stakes regulatory requirements, including BAP reporting and public disclosures.
- Oversee the accurate publication of financial results in newspapers as per regulatory standards.
- Provide comprehensive monthly data to actuaries and MIS teams for internal reporting.
- Support statutory and internal auditors by providing timely data for successful audit completion.
- Prepare detailed data decks for the Audit Committee and track all committee actionables.
- Evaluate new system requirements and provide Change Requests (CRs) to the IT department.
- Liaise with IT teams for defect resolution and the successful delivery of system enhancements.
- Test system requirements rigorously to ensure error-free financial data processing and reporting.
- Drive the automation, compliance, and improvement agenda to optimize existing finance processes.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Must be a Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with a strong professional track record.
- Minimum of 10+ years of relevant post-qualification experience in financial reporting.
- Extensive experience within the Life Insurance industry is a mandatory requirement.
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS 17, IND AS 117, and Indian accounting practices.
- Deep understanding of IRDAI regulations and statutory financial reporting standards.
- Proven ability to lead complex audits and manage senior stakeholder relationships.
